“All of a sudden the car lurches forward and speed forward. I can barely stop it with the brakes. It happens more often and has almost thrown me into object like a car, or stationary object. The drivers seat heat has gone out completely.. Passenger side okay.”

NHTSA complaint #10691123, filed 2015-02, 62,000 miles

“Driver's side heated seat went out; dealer says will cost $600 to replace/repair. Passenger side still works. This is one of the reasons we bought this vehicle. We have been long-time Ford drivers -- buying new -- but may never buy a Ford again.”

NHTSA complaint #10596014, filed 2014-06, 47,000 miles

“I started my car this morning and waited a few minutes for my son to come out. No more than 3 minutes and my passenger mirror started smoking really bad. My husband ran out and it was on fire!”

NHTSA complaint #10632688, filed 2014-09, 180,000 miles

“The instrument controls go completely dead, so no knowledge of speed, coolant temperature, gas capacity. The passenger air bag deactivates, whether there is a passenger there or not. The rear back up lights go on permanently. Happens at any speed and intermittently flickers back on and off. Can happen when the car is moving, or sitting at a stop. No consistency on when it happens and when it resumes.”

NHTSA complaint #10811152, filed 2015-12, 104,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2007 Ford 500. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the light on the instrument panel failed without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 99,700.”
