“There is a loud popping noise when the braking of the van comes to a complete stop. Sometimes I am afraid the van is not going to stop all the way. From what I am reading online, it may be under previous recall for the brake system. I have no idea how to go about getting recall information, etc. To have a Ford dealership fix this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10609091, filed 2014-07, 138,962 miles

“Was driving normally when the ABS and traction control lights came on and alarm started chiming. When I pulled over to stop the ABS kicked in and my stopping distance greatly increased. I had the van towed to a mechanic where he discovered corrosion in three ABS speed sensors. A TSB (technical service bulletin) confirmed this to be an issue only on this year and model van. Moisture is getting into these sensors and without warning it is causing normal braking failure.”
