Example complaints

Vehicle speed control: “Rec'd notification of a safety recall dated august 2007, recall # 0s28 I have called repeatedly regarding this repair, but they state the required parts are not available. As of today I was informed that it will be at least june 2008 when this can be done. A 10 month wait for replacement parts on a safety recall seems rather out of the ordinary. Ford 2000 Econoline van.”

NHTSA complaint #8005112, filed 2002-03

Electrical system: “Windshield wiper fuse (30 amp inside fuse panel) keeps blowing. There was no event except a small bump ( small bump ) in the road. This caused radio to power off for second then come back on. Smoke was seen coming out from under steering side dash. I refused, and wipers would work until I any minor dip, bump,or turning would cause fuse to blow. Now the fuse blows as soon as it is put in. Safety item, wipers are needed to drive safe, in fog, rain and snow”
