“Driving my car and the ABS and brake warning light came on and brakes failed to work properly. Paul miller Ford of lexington ky.said I needed to replace ncu and master cylinder at a cost of $9000. There has been numerous complaints I've discovered after researching this problem. The car is still at the dealer so I don't have paper work yet.”

NHTSA complaint #11209778, filed 2019-05, 111,000 miles

“Ive had reoccurring issues with my brakes ,ABS system , power train , steering column starter. Over the course of three years and it seem like the problems keep coming up . The only close call I remembers is coming home from work . Making a turn on to a street, then all of a sudden my power steering went out completely. I could have crashed if a huge curb wasnt there .”

NHTSA complaint #11082619, filed 2018-04, 140,000 miles

“Abs lights came on went and got it checked and its the break system. I was told by the dealership that it was going to be over $5,000 and that even if they fixed it I dont get a warranty for the fixed system and that it could reoccur. This is an issue with this car a lot. Can we please get this issue checked into. $5,000 is a lot of money to fix a car and it not be 100 percent fixed”

NHTSA complaint #11122334, filed 2018-08, 135,000 miles

“The ABS and brake lights come on and the brake regeneration disabled is displayed on dash. When this happens there is a loss of braking power. This happens when driving. When I researched this I found this is a common problem. It calls for the ecu to be replaced and the repair is $5,000. Ford needs to recall and replace this part as it is a safety concern due to brake failure.”

NHTSA complaint #11014105, filed 2017-08, 202,654 miles

“The ABS brakes have failed. The vehicle is no longer safe to drive. I took it to a Ford dealer and was quoted over $5,000 to replace the hydraulic control unit. I have read many people have experienced the same problem. Why has there been no recall on a vehicle with a problem as serious as this?”
