2000: “I purchased this truck 3 months ago from mike marooney north. When I got home I noticed it would not stay in park at all. This caused it to roll down the street with my baby in it. I have made over 50 attempts to get the dealer to put me in a safe vehicle or refund the $3200 back. They refuse to call me back or email me. They told me it was fixed after 3 days but it wasnt.”
NHTSA complaint #11171884, filed 2019-01, 187 miles2002: “I started my truck after sitting for 36 hours and what sounded like bad exhaust leak ..after being checked out by mechanic found that a spark plug and coil has been spit out of motor ..I had them repace spark plug and coil on top which repaired the problem ..today I was driving to town 10 miles and after stoppi g to get gas the noise started again !”
NHTSA complaint #10820717, filed 2016-01, 167,000 miles2005: “While driving, the engine just quits and loses all power. I have to shift into neutral, turn the key all the way to off, and restart the engine. Sometimes it starts right up, other times it takes several (many) tries to get the engine to restart. It can go 200 miles without killing, and then kill 5 times in 5 miles. The issue appears to be similar to the recall 05s34 (NHTSA campaign number: 05v270000), but that's specific to diesel engines, and my truck has a gasoline engine.”
