“The driver and passenger seat belts come unlatched without being touched in any way. Sometimes the seat belts won't even latch. This is a safety issue. The faulty seat belts are unreliable to protect my family.”
NHTSA complaint #10618247, filed 2014-08, 49,000 miles“My husband and I just bought a new 2008 Ford F-250 crew cab pickup. When I was installing the car seat, after we got home, I noticed that it doesn't have any lower anchors for the latch system. I did notice the upper tethers when we were looking at the vehicle before we bought it, so I figured it would have the lower anchors. Why isn't there any lower anchors, that is part of the latch system. Also, the middle seat belt in the back seat is not a retractable one, but the front passenger seat is. …”

The driver sustained a broken neck, broken spinal cord, dislocated jaw, dislocated shoulder, and sprained ribs. Medical attention was not required. The vehicle was destroyed and towed. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.”
