“This accelerator pedal was replaced by Ford in a factory recall on april 2011. At the time the original pedal worked fine but it was changed our anyway. The replacement pedal failed on 12/15/14. During failure, the vehicle engine completely loses power and goes back to idle. During certain maneuvers this is a very dangerous situation, such as accelerating to merge on the freeway or pulling out from a stop sign in traffic. I have read of many instances where this has happened to other Ford owners. …”
NHTSA complaint #10670815, filed 2015-01, 112,000 miles“Injector drive module (idm), diesel 7.3 navistar engine. Its not been two years and this is the 3rd time it has happened at a cost to me of $4600. Plug installed in assembly blew out, had repaired, it blew out, had it repaired again by a certified Ford dealer. It lasted month & half. Now want to replace cylinder head with same poor design head putting me back where I was 3 plugs ago and ready to spend $4600. More. There is only 4 threads holding any and all plugs. Design flaw. …”
NHTSA complaint #10226102, filed 2008-04“The front hubs on my f250 super dury pick up would not work when we had our first slippery roads in november. I have shift on the fly and the hub type are the auto-lock type. I spoke with two mechanics who both said this type hub is junk. When I called my dealer I offered to bring the hub's with me so they could see that they were full of rust. The parts manager said he 's seen plenty of them and doesn't need to see them. This is a safty issue for those of us who count on the four wheel drive working when you need it. This vehicle has never been under water or been abused. …”
