“The contact owns a 2006 Ford Five Hundred. While driving 20 MPH, the rear of the vehicle swayed abnormally. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the inner pivot assembly on the rear suspension of the vehicle was severely corroded. The contact stated that rust caused the inner pivot assembly to separate from the subframe. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000. Updated 04/06/17 lj”

The contact took his vehicle to the dealer for scheduled maintenance and they discovered that the front driver side tire had excessive wear. The contact had the vehicle aligned and the struts changed at that time. The current mileage is 30,000 and failure mileage was 29,000. The consumer stated the tires were only damaged on the left side, and they had to lower the struts and rotate the upper mounts to get vehicle to align properly. …”
