“On several occasions while driving my 2006 Ford f-250 psd 4wd would begin to shake violently while driving 60+MPH to the point where I would have to stop the truck to make the shaking in the steering to stop.”
NHTSA complaint #10286040, filed 2009-10, 35,000 miles“Truck hit a bump on bridge and began violently shaking. I had to bring the truck to a complete stop to get it to stop shaking. I went several times to Ford dealerships to find out if any other trucks where having the same problems. But of course no one else was having this serve problem. I finally talked to a tire shop who said he had heard of the problems with Ford trucks shimmy. He said first check your air pressure. Found the pressure low and added air. This helped with the problem but had not solved problem. This is not just a mild shimmy! This is a death wobble.!!! …”
