Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“While driving on a rural country road less than 40 MPH I had a catastrophic loss of steering. Although I immediately braked, there was no directional change available through the steering wheel. Less than 10 days prior, I was told by a Ford dealership service representative that the steering was 'a little loose.' there was no mention that I could have such a loss of steering or that it needed immediate attention. Unfortunately, I likened it to 'your tires/brakes/belts are a little worn.'”
