“Car pulls to the right since day one. Returned car to dealership twice and refused to acknowledge problem. Whendriving a0t 60-70 MPH if I should let go of wheel the car would immediately run off the road. Long trips are very tiring to arms, shoulders and back. My tires are good, front end in alignment etc.”

“It is the paint on the car, not any failed components. We have repeatedly contacted the dealer to no avail. We have also contacted Ford motor corp. I recently saw two other Ford thunderbirds with the exact defect patterns in the paint. No safety defect listed.”

NHTSA complaint #707827, filed 1999-06

Had car towed to mechanic. He said that engine head gasket needed to be replaced.”

NHTSA complaint #860720, filed 2000-04

“Well maintained vehicles do not just blow heagaskets. How can Ford put a recall out for only some of their 3.8l v-6 engines and not the others? How can they ignore this problem? No safety defect listed. Statement of inquiry.”

Engine roars, consumer would tap the accelerator and would go to the floor, feels as if vehicle is put in neutral. Dealer replaced transmission gear shift switch assembly. Check engine light came on intermittently. Dealer replace 2 o2 sensors and maf sensor. Vehicle pulls to right. Wheel alignment performed. Steering wheel shimmy when applying brakes. Prformed front disc/ rear drum brake service. Replaced front rotors after brake job due to pulsation. Steering column had to be replaced. …”
