“My vehicle has been at a Ford dealership for more than 6 months for NHTSA campaign id: 20v260000 my glass is cracked. The dealership took my vehicle apart and then realized the replacement glass was broken. The dealership is unable to secure the glass to complete the recall. Ford states the glass is on indefinite backorder. Ford has proven they can not fix this vehicle recalll - I would like a buyback.”

NHTSA complaint #11407076, filed 2021-04, 40,000 miles

“1/2 of the windshield seal failed leaving the windshield unattached to the vehicle. I noticed it was loose when cleaning the inside of the windshield. The next morning I went to a glass repair shop. The manager said not to drive the vehicle around due to safety issues and take it to the dealer because the seal should not have failed within 3 years. The service manager wanted me to continue driving the vehicle around until they had an opening in appointments. I was afraid to drive it with only 1/2 of the windshield seal intact. Therefore I left it at the dealership for repairs. …”

NHTSA complaint #11191113, filed 2019-03, 39,000 miles

“2 years ago (approx.) I brought my van to Sound Ford in Renton, WA. for the windshield recall. Two employees inspected my windshield and said they could not do the recall because they found a micro-pit in the glass. They told me to get my insurance to replace the windshield. I called my insurance but they said they won't replace the windshield unless it is cracked and I would have to pay a $100 deductible and Sound Ford is off the hook to do the recall. …”

NHTSA complaint #11744832, filed 2026-06

“Extreme windshield leak have tried to get Ford to fix. They reffed me back to the dealer. Leak all down the front around the roof. Water literally pours in and I can not drive on a rainy day. Have to car max dealer twice and they still”

NHTSA complaint #11259021, filed 2019-09

“The windshield was leaking at the top on my van and my friends, both 2016 Ford Transit Connect's. passenger vans. It then popped out at the top when cleaning the inside of the windshield with a cloth, not pushing. Both of ours have now been replaced but think others should be checked. I was told by installer it could have come loose during an accident or even while driving at higher speeds on the highways. The seal, if any had been installed on the top edge, was not attached to the windshields glass. …”
