“Two firestone fr360 p215/70r15 97s tires delaminated on my 1997 Ford Windstar. There was no damage done to the car and there were no injuries to any one. Note-this is for 2 tires, both of which failed within a few weeks of each other. Information about one, also applies to the other.”
NHTSA complaint #10029290, filed 2003-07, 82,000 miles“My tire problems were reported to firestone and their response was to blame low air pressure or not to respond at all I have replaced all the firestone tires on my motorhome with another brand, out of 8 tires, five came apart, I would suggest anyone with a firestone tire problem, try a different brand( DOT number: tire size: 225/75/16 )”
NHTSA complaint #727640, filed 2000-08“From 12,000 miles to present mileage, the vehicle had three transmissions replaced within five years, and the problem is reoccurring. Dealer notified. The driver side front coil spring had broken. (recalled in november/NHTSA#01i00700)-was checked. The mechanics had placed a plastic sleeve over coils, and the spring had broken through and punctured the tire at 5 MPH. The overdrive and engine light had come on. The mechanics said that something inside of the transmission was bad.”
