Example complaints

Body and structure: “While driving through a parking lot, the gray wastewater tank of the travel trailer fell off out from under the frame. One of the crossbars supporting the tank perpendicularly had failed. The tank, 7ft steel support (approx 15lbs), and other plastic piping components simply fell off from this failure and could have caused a catastrophic incident had this occurred at speed or on a major highway. It appears that the supporting straps or other steel elements found on the freshwater tank to help with extra support are not being included for the gray or black water tanks.”

NHTSA complaint #11388230, filed 2021-01, 15,000 miles

Tires: “Tire size ST225/75/R15 On 7/16/2020 we were travelling and our passenger tire blew causing damage to the side of our trailer. We were on the Antioch Bridge and when we heard the noise we had to travel over a mile to slowly reach a safe area to pull over. When we got home we inspected the other tires and found that another tire had a huge bump on it. We replaced both tires at Les Schwab. We were told that these tires were not recommended to be on a trailer. Then on 7/14/2021 we were travelling on the highway and we heard a loud noise. …”
