2016: “I was traveling at 60 MPH on highway 87 north of great falls mt. At about 4:40 in the afternoon on september 4th 2020, the tread of rear tire on the drivers side of my 2016 Forest River travel trailer came apart from the rest of the tire. …”
NHTSA complaint #11353591, filed 2020-09, 20 miles2014: “Had a low tire on my travel trailer so I exited the highway. I got out and inspected the tire and it was almost flat so I changed it with my spare and when I pulled it off the inside of tire had rubbed all the inside tread of the tire and I inspected all the tires and they to were doing the same thing just not as bad. Forest river needs to fix this before so one is hurt or killed on the highways because of this problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10616484, filed 2014-07, 1,500 miles2019: “I recently purchased at 2019 Wildwood fsx 280rt. When I towed it empty I had no problems with the trailer. Once loaded with a side by side the trailer became very unstable and swayed greatly from side to side. I stopped and filled the freshwater tank to try and offset the weight to no avail. I had a local rv professional look at the trailer and they advised that the axle placement of this trailer appears to be a cause of concern. I was advised that the axle placement on this unit appears way to far forward and when loaded removes the majority of the tongue weight from the trailer. …”
