“UNINTENDED ACCELERATION!! 2022 GENESIS GV80 2.5T Prestige model. 60 miles after I had the fuel pump replaced due to a recall on the fuel pump, car was totaled. It was complete luck that I or others WERE NOT KILLED. The vehicle was sitting still with engine running and all of a sudden just accelerated up to about 40+ mph. I had to steer into parked car to stop my vehicle. The gear shift would not go into neutral or reverse. entire experience took 6-8 seconds. Air bag saved me. The coasting function is designed to disengage the engine from the drivetrain to improve fuel economy, and because it doesn’t work as advertised, real-world MPG may be lower than stated. This could mislead consumers who purchased the vehicle expecting better efficiency. …”

“Subject: Complaint Regarding Non-Functioning Wireless Charger in Genesis GV80 To Whom It May Concern, This complaint concerns a defect in the wireless charging system of the Genesis GV80, which does not function as advertised. Genesis promotes this feature as a convenient way to charge mobile devices, yet in real-world use, it consistently fails to charge phones properly. The charger frequently disconnects, overheats devices, or does not charge at all, rendering the feature ineffective. …”
