Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The Engine Control Module (ECM) malfunctioned. The dealer replaced it with a new one. When it malfunctioned, the car would not accelerate to a speed greater than 20mph. This was dangerous because I was driving on a state highway where the speed limit is 55mph, and I could have been rear-ended. Since having the ECM replaced, the car's performance has been fine. The Check Engine light did activate more than one day before the incident, which also sent a message to the Genesis app on my phone.”
