Example complaints

One per model year, chosen for length and detail. Personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

1995: “Driving normal. Light turned red. Applied brakes. Had no brakes. Brakes all the way to floor. Ran red light causing traffic collision. Towed to shop. Shop owner spend hours trying to diagnose. Checked numerous things. Found nothing wrong. Told me I'm nuts. Shop owner took for one last test drive and it happened to him! No brakes! He said he had considered jumping from truck. It scared him. Turned out to be ABS malfunction. Abs opens all the way allowing all fluid to bypass resulting in no brakes! How can this not be a safety recall?”
