Example complaints
Other or unknown: “While the vehicle was stationary, the dash cracked. The dash has cracked in front of the front passenger seat and the crack goes into the airbag section. As I drive, the whole dashboard bounces up and down as it is now unstable. This is is a known problem that many other drivers have reported online. A simple google search brings it up. It will cost over $900 plus the cost of a whole new dashboard to get this fixed and that is a quote from an independent, very economical repair shop (non-dealership). I cannot afford this and will try to use tape. …”
NHTSA complaint #11020166, filed 2017-08, 96,000 milesBody and structure: “The contact owns a 2010 Gmc Denali. The contact stated that the dashboard cracked where the air bag was located. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but it was not diagnosed or repaired because it was out of warranty and not included in a recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.”
