“Own a 2004 Gmc envoy and I have problems with the fuel gauge and the odometer. The fuel gauge goes past the f line when the vehicle is not on fuel. Also the odometer will stop working or get stuck on 10-15 MPH. He happens often...every other day. I was told that it would cost 1400 to fix and a possibility it may not fix the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10405702, filed 2011-06, 95,000 miles

“I own a 2004 Envoy Xl 2 wd. It has 40,000 miles on the odometer. On three different occasions the speedometer read zero while the car was above 40 MPH. The speedometer remained off line until the next time it was stopped with turning off the ignition. Upon start up,the speedometer needle began to recognize the actual speed variations of the drive. Undocumented rates of speed could cause accidents. When will the next time when this recurs on the vehicle? Will this and/or could this cause an accident?”

There was damage to the garage the garage door had to be replaced. The vehicle was damaged, the estimated cost to repair the vehicle was $5000. The vehicle is at the dealer . An investigation is ongoing at this time. When the tow truck came to pick the vehicle the driver noted that the brakes were all the way to the floor. Ak”
