Example complaints

Fuel system: “Our 2005 Gmc envoy has always had a faulty fuel gauge and has caused our family to be stranded a few times without gas while travelling far from home. We took it into a Gmc dealer who wanted $ 950 for parts and repairs. We just dont have that kind of money. Gmc has always been aware of this problem and has not offered to fix it nor have a recall on this faulty gas gauge. …”

Electrical system: “Driving on interstate 91 south, glanced down to see my speedometer indicated I was traveling 75 miles perhour let off the accelerator to decrease speed when I realized the vehicle behind mine had to pull around my vehicle to avoid hitting mine in the rear. Several miles later I discovered my speedometer indicated I was traveling 120mph although keeping up with traffic. As I pulled of highway and hit my brakes the speedometer decreased in speed, although when at a complete stop speedometer indicated I was traveling 30 MPH. …”

Half the glass was inside vehicle and half the glass was blown backon the hood and bumper of my second car which was parked directly behind said vehicle. Neither one was in motion.”

Latches, locks and linkages: “Purchased the 2005 Gmc Envoy Xuv used in 2009 with 41000 miles. Within 3 months the envoy started having rear door latch failures. The rear door and glass can be opened in a traditional side door mode or a truck bed mode. Frequently the electronic latches that operate to let the door function in either way would fail. The envoy has been in several times over three years to have all the latches repaired and or replaced. Each latch has been replaced several times. …”
