“With no warning signs, vehicle abruptly stalled while driving. I attempted to restart multiple times. Finally restarted and drove another 100ft and stalled again now with a check engine light. Made it to local shop and code P129F was found for fuel pump module. I see there is a recall on this but not for my particular vin. Recommend expanding recalls.”
NHTSA complaint #11726130, filed 2026-03“The car went into limp mode while I was on the highway. The car said reducing engine power and then I couldn't go the speed limit I had to drive well under the speed limit and pull off the road as soon as possible. I brought it home and water came pouring out the intercooler after looking online. I found out this is a known issue for this vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11704199, filed 2025-12“My 2022 GMC Terrain left me on the side of the road today with a fuel pump module failure. After having it towed to the dealership I began looking to see if this is a known problem. I see that there was a recall for the 2022 GMC Terrain, but my VIN is not listed on that recall. MY FUEL PUMP MODULE FAILED! I think that my VIN was left off of recall list. GMC should pay to repair this!”
NHTSA complaint #11755672, filed 2026-08“This is the second time this occurred, once in Oct 2024 and on 1/25/25. While driving the check engine light came on and within one minute the vehicle began to stall and within 20 second the engine shut off. The first time it happened in the middle of the road and the second time I was just able to turn onto a side street. In both cases the vehicle would not restart and left me stranded.”
NHTSA complaint #11638706, filed 2025-01“My check engine light came on and I got it hooked up to get the code of P0171 - Upon checking it was different things like O2 sensor the Mass Airflow sensor, fuel pump issue etc. I have been having issues with slight hesitation during acceleration, some jerking when slowing down (not hitting the brakes). Now the check engine light was on for one day the next day it was off. …”
