“I have a snapped off parking brake component beneath my dash rendering the parking brake inoperative. I have already paid classic chevrolet to fix this same exact issue two years ago and it has just snapped again in the same way under the dash using all new correct parts.”
NHTSA complaint #10496627, filed 2013-02, 104,000 miles“Vehicle brakes went to the floor and barely came to a stop before hitting a tree. Vehicle was towed into dealership joyce koons manassas. Dealership called back stating brake lines had rusted out and contaminated rotors, brake pads, fuel pump, backing plates, right and left level sensors to the tune of $3660. After researching the internet we found out this is a known issue that GM refuses to do a recall on. If we had been on I 95 with the vehicle at a high speed, it could have been a horrible accident and people could have been injured. …”
NHTSA complaint #10651847, filed 2014-11, 116,414 miles“The vehicle display indicates service stability and the vehicles ABS system begins to grab intermittently causing the vehicle to shake and lose speed drastically. Once pulled off the road if the vehicle is shut off and allowed to sit for a few seconds and restarted it will operate properly again. This incident happened approximately once in june, twice in july, and several times now in august. I thought that maybe it was fluke issue that could be explained by weather as we had exceptionally hot summer thus far. …”
