2013: “Have had 2 cracks in my dashboard, passenger side from rear/left side toward windshield from airbag and another over instrument panel. They have been there for over a year, I didn't realize how common this problem was or I would have reported sooner. Concern relates to dashboard pieces causing injury if airbag deployed. Vehicle is parked inside day and night”

It has happened two days in a row with no warning and my vehicle will not start. Battery is good and alternator is good. My vehicle was parked both times when this happened. Security light will flash in my windshield but truck will not start. A message will display on my screen saying battery saver active .”
NHTSA complaint #11165981, filed 2019-01, 68,000 miles2007: “I wish to add complaint for the dashboard crack issue near the passenger airbag, and suspect the airbag support/function may be compromised. I also have received many 'paper cuts' from inside door handles chrome over the years but was never contacted by GM or offered warranty replacement as your website states they did - I am the original owner of the vehicle.”
