NHTSA complaint #10112607, filed 2005-03, 91,614 miles“First passenger window stopped working, found out it was the window regulator. Have been waiting for the part for months. I have been told by both GM and my auto part store there is a shortage and the auto part store says alot of GM owners have been requesting that part. Still waiting and driver window is starting to go. There must be a problem. Please check into.”
NHTSA complaint #10141427, filed 2005-11, 91,500 miles“Passenger door window regulator, 2000 Gmc Yukon Xl. Want to know if there is a problem with this since it seems there is a shortage of this part. And that info comes straight from GM. I have been waiting since april 6th for this part and am told that it will be mid-may sometime when I may actually get it. They said the demand for this part has been great they ran out. I would like an investigation into this matter, why would there be a shortage of this window regulator and a high demand for this if there wasn't a problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10118469, filed 2005-04“Power windows in driver and passenger side failed. The motor, regulator, cable, and pulley break down and gets tangled inside and jams up. The entire system needed to be replaced, the driver side went the end of the summer of 2004 and the passenger side went the middle of april. The window does not move”
