“I rented a 2005 Gmc Yukon from enterprise at the san luis obispo, ca. Airport location. While driving home on highway 101 northbound over cuesta grade on the decent of the north side of the grade the hood popped open, fortunately the additional latch caught the hood thus preventing the hood from flying back and smashing the windshield. Thankfully there was no traffic at that moment and I was able to pull to the side of the highway and secure the hood. …”
NHTSA complaint #10093156, filed 2004-09“The contact owns a 2005 Gmc Yukon. The contact stated that the rear hatch lock malfunctioned and was unable to be unlocked. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where the dealer advised that the lock actuator malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The contact did not have the lock actuator replaced. The failure mileage was 150,000.”
