“2005 faulty Gmc Yukon dash system. Dealer originally told me it was the fuel pump but suggested it might be alcohol in the gasoline. I tried using ethanol free gas and it worked. I couldn't find any ethanol free gas on dec 25th so I had to use 10% ethanol and my entire dash has quit working. I can't tell how fast I'm going, if I have fuel or how many miles I have on my vehicle. The Gmc dealership wants me to replace my fuel pump, dash board and they estimate it will cost around $1500. It worked fine without ethanol!”

NHTSA complaint #10373426, filed 2010-12, 90,000 miles

“Fuel gauge not working, jumps all over the place... Shows half tank and then rises to full while driving or the other way around. Called Gmc and they are aware of this problem, said fuel pump needs replacing and is happening on many vehicles but its not a recall.”
