Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My 2005 Yukon 4wd went out. It started as an intermittent problem. The first time I took it to the dealer since it was not currently having problems they were unable to identify the issue. This time it was out for several days before I finally took it in. Although nothing extreme happened, since I was aware of the issue, but if someone was not aware of the issue they could potentially lose control of there vehicle since the traction control system is also disabled in this problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #10252567, filed 2008-12, 52,100 miles

“At the initial start up and the follow on drive selection of the vehicle, the drive selector indicator on the (speedo) speed cluster fails to light up to be able to see the exact gear the vehicle is in. During low light times the indication is barely visible and day light hours you are unable to see the indication to ensure the proper gear of vehicle which could result in selecting wrong gear.”
