“As I was walking to my truck, I hit the button (as I have always done) to unlock the door, the passenger side airbag exploded and crashed the windshield”

NHTSA complaint #11289877, filed 2019-12, 180,000 miles

“Traveling approximately 60 MPH on a partly sunny day, approximately 27 degrees outside with my heater on, my sunroof spontaneously shattered with a sound similar to a gunshot. At that point, the glass did not fall but was cracked into thousands of pieces. Later as I drove the glass began to fall apart. I was not following any vehicle and was not driving under a bridge or around any trees so there was nothing that could have struck my sunroof. The roadway was smooth and my sunroof has never sustained any damage in the past.”

NHTSA complaint #10562685, filed 2014-02, 62,000 miles

“After taking a online safety coarse I was instructed on adjusting my outside rear view mirrors for better viewing of black views from my inside rear view mirror.. After doing so,being the only driver, the mirrors stayed the same...after some time I read in my manual that I could fold my side mirrors in and so I tried to do so . My driver outside mirror would not fold. It only made a clicking sound..I then tried my right side mirror and it worked but as I tried to adjust my right side mirror it stopped adjusting the position of the mirror view. …”

NHTSA complaint #10683482, filed 2015-02

“The contact owns a 2007 Gmc Yukon. The contact stated that the rear door opened independently while driving. In addition, the windows failed to open and close and the navigational system failed. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 219,000.”

NHTSA complaint #10889369, filed 2016-07, 219,000 miles

“The contact owns a 2007 Gmc Yukon. While traveling 25 MPH, the contact noticed a loud explosion from outside of the vehicle. He found that the passenger side mirror had fractured from the vehicle. The mirror was replaced by an authorized dealer. The failure recurred within six months while the contact was driving 5 MPH. The dealer replaced the mirror a second time. The contact took the vehicle to a local repair facility for a second opinion where he was informed that the failure had occurred internally. The failure mileage was 29,000 and the current mileage was 35,000.”
