“While working on an airbag warning light I encountered 2 distinct problems with my airbag and vehicle system. 1. The main underhood fuse panel on my vehicle has portion of oxidation on the fuses themselves. This oxidation is causing fuses to appear intact but are causing the circuit to open. This was the root cause of my airbag system to not be operating properly. 2. While diagnosing the airbag system, I was cautious about unpluggin the battery during any troubleshooting that I was performing. …”
NHTSA complaint #11376110, filed 2020-11, 187,000 miles“The dashboard is cracked in three different places. The first cracked happened at about 24,000 miles right above the steering well. The second crack is on the passenger side leading up to the passenger airbag. That happened at about 50,000 miles. The third crack is in front of the steering wheel it travels upward to meet the first crack making it into a y shaped. This happened at about 55,000 miles. The car is parked in a garage most of the time. The passenger side seat belt buckle in the middle row and the middle seat belt buckle in the third row both fell apart making the buckles unusable.”
