There were no issues with the axles at that time. There were no unusual road hazards or shocks to the frame during that period prior to when I noticed the issue. I stopped at a rest area in helena arkansas and found the right rear axle spring hanger had broken from the frame. The spring and rear axle was shifted to the left and lodged precariously up inside the frame. It was late on a friday evening. …”
NHTSA complaint #11362230, filed 2020-10, 21,300 miles“The contact owns a 2017 Grand Design Reflection. The contact stated that after the RV was taken to the factory for warranty repairs and linoleum floors were installed, the back wall separated approximately 3/8 from the floor, and the rear end of the RV began detaching. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by telephone and informed the contact that the RV was out of warranty, instructing the contact to take the vehicle to a welder for a repair estimate. However, the contact stated that the welders do not weld aluminum. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.”
