Example complaints

Body and structure: “While towing this 5th wheel camper we observed vertical motion between the truck and camper body. NHTSA complaint #11645040, filed 2025-02

Other or unknown: “This is for a 2021 Grand Design Reflection 28BH fifth wheel that we purchased a month ago. The slide out will not work properly causing major issues. We had to dismantle and remove the refrigerator and use a jack to prop up the slide out to get it to slide back in. This is after having to take apart the coverings to force the slide out back on it's track for it twisted and bent due to one side going out while the other side didn't. …”

NHTSA complaint #11772121, filed 2026-10

Suspension: “I habe a 2021 Grand Design Reflection 303 RLS. The frame is cracked on both side just above the center spring shackles, I have also noticed frame flex between the pin box of the hitch and the rv body. I noticed the cracks when setting up the rv for the weekend and the frame flex driving down the road. I do not have any pictures of the cracks, but did attach a document to reference the frame crack and procedure to repair. The rv is at the dealership now being evaluated.”

NHTSA complaint #11626711, filed 2024-11

Brakes: “The electric brakes on our brand new 2021 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS periodically go out. We get a warning through the brake controller that the trailer is disconnected or to check trailer brake wiring. The warning will go away and the electric brakes will work again, only to have the problem return with the complete loss of trailer brakes. This problem occurred on our very first outing with the new 5th wheel trailer. We have contacted Grand Design customer service through telephone and email, but have received no response. …”
