“This is my second rear gasket replacement. I had my bike serviced this week. My bike stalls sometimes and I believe it is due to the oil pump issue associated with HD M8 motors 2017 through 2019. I don’t understand whether there is a recall? With so many motorcycles that have had seized motors, blown, gaskets, etc. HD even put out a Service bulletin M1450. Next, they redesigned their oil pump.I can’t wait for a recall and continue to put my life on the line. My understanding is that there is a recall coming. Can you confirm this?”

There have been numerous complaints on the 2017 to 2019 Harley Davidson M8 oil pump. Harley Davidson even redesigned the oil pump for 2020 to resolve the issues. My motor has stalled at high speeds in the past two times. I understand there is a recall coming. Can you confirm this? …”

The contact took the motorcycle to the local dealer who inspected the motorcycle and diagnosed the failure as a base gasket leak and head gasket leak.
