2008: “Fuel pump on 2008 harley ultra classic caused pipes to get so hot ( glowing red )when I checked oil level the rag I was using caught on fire. Also the pipes are now really discolored and harley won't replace them back to original condition. They won't even change the oil that I'm sure was broken down by the heat.”

I wish to have harley recall the bikes rather then issue a 5 yr / 50,000 extended warranty on the bearing. It did not happen to my bike yet. But reports in magazine and on the web indicate that cam bearing failures on certain 1999-2000 harely engines are occuring. The web inteface here would not let me file unless I put numbers in. So, I put in numbers in in order to get a message to you. Again it did not fail on my particular engine. …”
