2022: “The motorcycle was bought new in January and it has a problem occasionally where when stopping and using the quick shifter to down shift the bike jumps up in RPM and surges forward uncontrollably. This overpowers the brakes and causes a far longer stopping distance than what is planned. This is a non-issue if I can immediately restart the engine and get moving. However, when I try to restart the engine to clear the intersection as cars are swerving around me. I hit the starter and it just screeches and the engine does not start. I wait several seconds, then hit the start button again and the engine started and I cautiously move on. …”
