“I was slowly pulling into my garage to park. When I pressed on the parking break, the car revved to full speed, slammed into garage and would not respond to the brakes, or any attempt to turn off the ignition or to control the car, including failure of the automatic emergency braking, forward collision or parking collision to function, even though they were all turned on. …”
NHTSA complaint #11376459, filed 2020-11, 15,500 miles“The windshield on my 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid touring cracked spontaneously while it was being backed out of a downtown parking space. It has fewer than 7,500 miles on it. I'm told there is a 4 to 8 month backorder for an oem replacement - the only kind that Honda will accept if I'm to maintain their warranty.”
NHTSA complaint #11210348, filed 2019-05, 7,100 miles“2018 Honda Accord Hybrid touring - loud humming noise while cruising at 52mph. Read google and you'll find many others have similar issues but no known resolve. Have been repeatedly able to reproduce and it can be obnoxious at times but of course Honda denies any knowledge of the issue and claims they are unable to reproduce.”
NHTSA complaint #11396754, filed 2021-02, 45,000 miles“In less than 5,000 miles I've had 2 cracked windshields that show no sign of pebble or stone impact and cracked while the car was not being driven. Both cracks started in approx. The same place of the left and right side pillars. Each instance costs approx. $1400 to replace the windshield (includes camera recal). You can find numerous instances on the internet of basically the same thing happening to other accord (and hybrids) owners. This is a safety issue because it could affect the safety systems mounted in the windshield. …”
NHTSA complaint #11229312, filed 2019-07, 5,000 miles“Report is for a potential incident. Should the hood not be fully closed and only be held by the hood release lever at the front of the hood, the vehicle will not notify the driver of the potential danger even though the vehicle utilizes a sensor for the hood. Driving around with the hood not fully closed could result in an accident should the hood lever fail. This is on at least two different Honda models both the Accord and the CRV.”
