“The past two months we have experience heavy vibration in the rear of the vehicle. When I brought the car in for an oil change I asked them to take a look at the rear. I was informed the tires are severly worn, in comparison to the front. The tires were new when we purchase the car 6 months ago.”
NHTSA complaint #10445882, filed 2012-01, 30,000 miles“When turning left or right or veering left or right the rear tires (mainly the left one) screeches and sounds like metal is grinding on metal. It is coming from somewhere in the tire to middle of the suspension. But when going straight or stopping there is no noise.”
NHTSA complaint #10721345, filed 2015-05, 77,000 miles“- premature brake ware 40 thousand miles on the car and the brakes have to be changed this will be the 3rd time, checked in feb 14, 2012 and deemed fine. - rear wheel wobble - passenger window glass shakes when window down - door unlock makes screeching noise when unlocked - car whines when started.”
NHTSA complaint #10455255, filed 2012-04, 35,000 miles“Tires only last for 20,000 miles approx. Even with a very mild use. I replaced the tires with high end tires and they had the same fate. Also, alignment only lasts for few months(even without hitting any curbs etc).”
NHTSA complaint #10874278, filed 2016-06, 45,000 miles“Rack and pinion steering went completely out on vehicle causing car to crash into guardrail of a bridge. Car was in motion about to cross bay bridge when this happened, safety of driver and other vehicles was compromised. Car wars trying to turn right heading toward the bridge when rack and pinion failed car was stopped by hitting guardrail about 45 miles an hour. Starter had to be replaced the very next month also problems with transmission. All of this has been repaired by owner. I don't feel this should happen as vehicle does not have excess mileage on it.”
