NHTSA complaint #11364252, filed 2020-10, 4 miles“The speed sensor failed while driving my 2010 Honda Civic on a highway forcing the car into a low gear. Since ford f150s are being recalled for the same problem, I thought you might want to know it is happening in other vehicles as well. $500 dealer repair bill.”
NHTSA complaint #11179922, filed 2019-02, 90,000 miles“If you apply your brakes harder than gentle, the brakes will feel like they are skipping. You almost need to stop apply the brakes before it goes away. I've owned a Honda accord 1993 for over 20 yrs and never experienced this. If I knew what I know today, I would have never bought another Honda!”
NHTSA complaint #10826106, filed 2016-02, 53,000 miles“Pressing the brake pedal also engages the accelerator pedal causing the vehicle to try to move when only the brake pedal is applied. If you press the left side of the brake pedal it doesn't occur however in heavy traffic you always don't have time to make sure you are only pressing the left side of the brake pedal. It almost caused me to have an accident when I first bought the car. I don't feel safe driving the car.”
NHTSA complaint #10457560, filed 2012-05, 170 miles“I was parked in shopping center. I came out of cvs pharmacy and carefully backed my car out. I began a left turn lane (still in shopping center) not into main road and suddenly the car's speed escalated rapidly and I could not stop it - it jumped the curb and in trying to avoid hitting shops car crashed headlong into light pole. It would appear that the gas accelerator was stuck. The airbag came on and I was injured by that. The front end of auto was badly damaged. …”
