“Consistent premature and uneven tire ware is the major problem on this car. The rear tires started vibrating. I took them care to a tire place and was informed that the tires went back due to non-rotation of the tires. The tires were rotated at 6,000 miles, but were still damaged. The original tires had a 24,000 ware life. Subsequent to replacing the original tires, I have put 90,000 mile michelin tires on the care. With consistent rotation, the tires ware out with the washboard effect between 25,000 and 30,000 miles. At 100,000 miles, I have replace the tire 3 times with 90,000 mile tires.”
NHTSA complaint #10573594, filed 2014-03, 12,000 miles“While driving at freeway speed in a 6 month old vehicle with 5500 miles, a loud clunking noise came from rt front wheel area. Abs light illuminated. Slowed down to pull over and noise stopped shortly thereafter. Moments later tire pressure monitor lit up. Pulled over and saw tire deflated. Changed tire. Damaged tire did not have any visible damage or punctures. Air remained in tire but was reduced. Taken to dealer for inspections and they stated that the cords inside the tire were shredded/torn . …”
