“I am the first owner, when i start lane keep assist feature, everytime it steers the car right side, after 10 seconds when it shows the light on dash to (keep your hands on steering wheel) i have steer hard to keep in middle of lane and you have to do it 3 to 4 times to use the lane keep assist feature accurately.”
NHTSA complaint #11771284, filed 2026-10“My 2023 civic steering wheel seems to stick when I'm driving. If the wheel is kept straight for a second it sticks and requires a good bit of force to become unstuck . When driving at highway speeds getting it unstuck usually causes it to jerk and in turn overcorrect constantly. There are no warning lights and I currently have an appointment to take it to the dealer for inspection.”
NHTSA complaint #11567382, filed 2024-01“The lane keeping assistant is glitchy. When driving with lane keeping assistant turned on if I pass a turning lane the car tends to want to veer of into the turning lane. The biggest problem is that it takes a really firm tug on the wheel to actually stay in the correct lane and has caused me to over correct a few times veering slightly into the opposite lane. This has happened multiple times.”
NHTSA complaint #11513729, filed 2023-03“The brakes slam on there own causing all safety features to go out and the car to go out of control. This is the 3rd time this has happened in 3 months. The dealership is telling me they won’t look at it for 3 months I could be killed in that time my car is dangerous”
NHTSA complaint #11561323, filed 2023-12“There is a recall on other similar vehicles but my VIN isn’t showing as one with a recall. However, I am also experiencing “sticking” while steering. Brought the car to the dealership and received conflicting information. We were told that the tech was able to replicate the issue we stated when he test drove the car. Dealer ordered the part, which appears to be just a bolt that they stated was back ordered for 3 weeks. This was the second time we brought the car. …”
