“Since purchase 2010 I have noted a suspicion of vehicle's electrical system. I have spoken numerous times of this suspicion and issues of concern to friends and family and with dealership. Dealership told me they are unable to check the electronic system.. My suspicion began within a year of purchase ,with automatic door locks making unusual sound as if not enough juice to lock or open automatically to more concern of driving with a drag sense and feeling like going to stall at traffic lights approximately 2015? Complaint form asks for exact mileage and year began. …”

NHTSA complaint #11005855, filed 2017-07, 48,000 miles

“This is a reproducible problem!! It happens every time if the air temperature is below 55 degrees. If the vehicle has not been heated for 5 minutes before driving out to the road, the engine would be dead either at an uphill stop sign or during driving while the brake needs to be used. The battery sign lights first and followed by the oil light and then the engine would switch off.”

NHTSA complaint #10511615, filed 2013-05, 25,000 miles

“A spark plug came out of cylinder head while driving. This damaged the cylinder head and ignition system. Fuel economy suffered. It allowed exhauset fumes to be drawn into the passenger compartment causing nausea and dizziness.”

NHTSA complaint #11046062, filed 2017-11, 62,000 miles

“I was in a wreck where I tried to switch lanes from the left to the right, and my power train switched off- which caused electrical parts to splatter into my engine. I then lost control of the power steering. I tried to over correct twice and crashed into the highway divider to avoid hurting anyone else. The only airbags that went off were the passenger side- no driver’s side, front or center. The evidence of the vehicle will show this along with my bodily injuries.”

NHTSA complaint #11768657, filed 2026-10

“While driving on the highway, my 2010 Honda Fit Sport automatic with 134,000 miles going around 60 mph lost power and started making sputtering noise. Fortunately, there was still some power left, and I was able to navigate to the shoulder of the highway. I turned off the car and turned It back on again and the Check Engine Light came on. I plugged in my BlueDriver diagnostic tool and it says Cylinder 2 Misfire. When I placed it in Drive, the car was making sputtering noise from the Engine Bay Area and would not accelerate, leaving me stranded on the side of the highway. …”
