“My Car Loosing Power The screen is black there is nothing showing on the dashboard this has been happening since August 2025 The SUV accelerate while I am driving or braking even when all of the lane changing and braking systems are turn off this happens often whenever I am driving the vehicle. It feels like someone else is in control of my car”

NHTSA complaint #11704641, filed 2025-12

“The screen on the car would randomly turn on and off when the vehicle is on and it will do this the whole time . On Dec 2022 Another issue I had was the door wouldn’t unlock on the driver side. I had to get someone to open my door. The door was unlocked but physically wouldn’t open.”

NHTSA complaint #11502699, filed 2023-01

“Outside temperature in the 70s had recently just rained and rear window was foggy. I turned on the rear defogger after about two minutes or so started smelling something burning thought it was car exhaust. I parked the car and the rear window shattered. There was a hole the size of a baseball, and when I went out to look, everything fell into the trunk area, Honda claims this is not a warranty issue and it’s not covered”

NHTSA complaint #11551135, filed 2023-10

“I was driving on the freeway and my rear window shattered. There was no potholes or cars next to me. I had turned off the rear defroster 2 miles before it shattered. Sometimes the driver side and passenger windows wont go all the way up. They stop and go back down.”

NHTSA complaint #11519550, filed 2023-04

“We have since become aware that Honda is aware of the exploding rear window phenomenon caused by the heating coil concentration in one area, creating a hot spot and weakening the glass. My 2023 Honda HR-V is now at the dealership where we purchased it for repair and was told today that Honda will cover the cost. However, the rear window for our vehicle is on back order (I wonder why). There was no warning just a loud instantaneous explosion and glass flying.”
