“On 2/16/23 I was driving on the highway when I heard a loud pop/bang like an explosion or loud crash on the top of my car. There were barely any cars around, no trucks spewing debris, I wasn’t going under an overpass, and I didn’t see anything fly up from the road. I had a passenger in the car who was looking out the windows at the road and didn’t see anything either. I opened the covering for the moon roof to see if something was stuck to the roof and my moon roof had exploded for no reason. Shattered glass fell into my car. …”

The contact stated that upon entering the vehicle, the contact noticed that the rear glass had shattered, but remained together. The contact stated that there was no visible impact on the glass. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The dealer was contacted through voicemail. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,400.”
