2012: “Tthis car has safety problems burns oil like crazy , my daughter was driving down 81 when the dash lights came on the car was shaking so she pulled over and called the police who impounded the car 300 to get it out then we had it towed over 100miles . Honda dealer says the spark plug failed and went into the engine . Getting prices on a new engine .”
NHTSA complaint #11412853, filed 2021-04, 76,883 miles2013: “So my 2013 Honda Insight has always consumed oil. I drove from idaho to utah stopped at the store when I started my vehicle up my display has check vsa, check hill start assist system, and check TPMS. I tried driving away from the store to get to Honda and it loses all power and barley moves. Kinda like a safe mode and does this every time I start my car.”
NHTSA complaint #11318635, filed 2020-03, 102,000 miles2019: “Honda has been unable to address the existing recall for the fuel pump on my car. I've called multiple times between july 2020 and today (october 19th 2020). They state that the parts have not been released to the dealer, and that I should call again in a couple weeks. They are not resolving this issue in a timely manner.”
