2023: “1. Piston rod broke and made a hole in the engine. 2. I was driving and lost the ability to continue to drive on a busy street. 3. Yes. Honda Burien in Washington inspected and reported it to Honda of America. 4. There was a warning that I was overdue for 10K maintenance. I was overdue by a little over 200 miles. No other warning signals were given.”
NHTSA complaint #11640535, filed 2025-02, 10,221 miles2019: “While driving 45 MPH on a divided road with no cars in front of me for at least 1/2 mile and no cars to the side or turning, my car brakes to almost a stop and the brake assist light went on. If there had been anyone behind me I would have been hit from behind. The braking was sudden enough that everything flew off the passenger seat into the floor. …”
NHTSA complaint #11395470, filed 2021-02, 10,500 miles2016: “I got into my parked car monday morning may 10, 2021 to find a large burn hole in the passenger seat and back of seat near the belt buckle. I took it to my daytona beach Honda dealership where they determined an electrical failure in the heated seats caused the fire. The car is one year out of warranty and approx cost to repair is 4500.00.”
