“I have a 2007 model Honda Odyssey van. On december 2008 I run over a road debris, last week 6/15/10 my van AC stopped working. I went to Honda service center, they are telling my van condenser is damaged due, even though it is under warranty. They don't cove the this. It seems this is a common problem in Honda vans.”

“We have a 2007 hondy Odyssey.. We have noticed that the motor mounts have failed on the car. During acceleration, the car vibrates and shakes. We took it to a mechanic and was told the motor mounts failed. In fact we were told this is common with the Honda Odyssey.”

NHTSA complaint #10330168, filed 2010-05, 60,000 miles

“While traveling on the highway, a rock hit my A/C condenser. A replacement condenser costs $700-1,000. Please ask Honda to invent some sort of condenser guard to protect it from road debris. My father had same problem with his 2006 Honda Odyssey.”

NHTSA complaint #10397074, filed 2011-04, 26,000 miles

“While driving in heavy raining conditions or flow of water pool, on roadway or hwy, vehicle wants to shut off displaying no charging, like I have no power for a few seconds. Twice this occurred on hwy speed 70+ or 25-30 +, on roadway with heavy rain and flow of water pool splash during turn vehicle shut off and power up within approximately 3-5 seconds. I was able to move over to the off road medium and regain engine power. This has happen numerous times in the course of 2 yrs. …”

NHTSA complaint #10451091, filed 2012-03, 70,000 miles

“I parked my 2007 Honda Odyssey in my driveway after running errands - driving approximately 10 miles. I heard a hissing noise coming from the front of the car. I immediately brought the car into the dealer and found out the noise was freon escaping from the compressor (air conditioner). They 'think' a small rock may have penetrated the condenser although no rock was found. This cost to replace this part is $725 and is not covered under the warranty.”
