“Vehicle stationary. Auto engine idle engaged. Car losses power. Been happening for several year. Dealer says nothing wrong. Now on two occasions, car has stalled when brake released to re-engage engine. Car going into shop. Car is stationary and basically stalls. Sometimes power loss disables collision mitigation systems”
NHTSA complaint #11415162, filed 2021-05, 36,000 miles“The engine is making a noise underneath—I think it's a connecting rod bearing. We replaced the entire timing belt assembly because of that sound, but now I don't know what to do; when driving on narrow streets, it displays a Collision Brake Warning every time another car approaches.”
NHTSA complaint #11724509, filed 2026-03“At high rate of speed on two lane road the hood would lift when another vehicle coming from the other direction. was driving cross country when this first happen. Call the local dealer who looked up by vin an showed no recall. They wanted me to come in and pay out of pocket repair. I feel this should be a recall because if you look it up by year it shows there is a problem with either the hood or hood latch.”
NHTSA complaint #11678006, filed 2025-08“There have been multiple times where the automatic emergency braking system engaged almost causing an accident with no car ahead of me. The latest incident caused a whiplash related injury to my daughter's neck. The tractor trailer behind me also locked up the brakes and luckily did so in time to avoid colliding with my car.”
NHTSA complaint #11454113, filed 2022-02“I have manually turned this feature off, it has o. Three separate occasions applied the brakes without any vehicle's around. Honda diagnostic was ran shows nothing wrong. So I have turned it off.”
