“I have had 2 problems show up on the dashboard for my vehicle. As follows: 1) emissions systems problem 2) keyless start system problem my driving conditions are normal. I keep my vehicle maintained and serviced regularly. I want to report these 2 safety problems since I feel that they should not appear for a vehicle at this mileage. Thank you”

NHTSA complaint #11338618, filed 2020-07, 50,571 miles

“Right before it's turned on and while driving. I get an error message saying keyless start system problem . Then vehicle will sometimes not turn on randomly. Have not taken the vehicle in for repair because I did much research and many people have taken their 2016 Pilot to the dealer and after spending money, the dealer could not fix it.”

NHTSA complaint #11287404, filed 2019-12, 50,100 miles

“While my vehicle was sitting in my employer's parking lot, the rear/back window shattered into a million pieces. After researching, it appears that this is an issue. We have been having extremely warm temperatures lately so I am not sure if that is a contributing factor. Either way it is very frustrating to come out to your vehicle and not have a rear window.”

NHTSA complaint #11232009, filed 2019-07, 38,700 miles

“Vehicle states keyless start system problem though nothing is wrong? The other week the windows, including sunroof, all rolled down by themselves sometime early morning and rain got in- inorder for me to make this happen I have to sleep walk to my key fob and hit unlock twice and hold the unlock button until all windows are fully down. It was a stinky flood mess.”

NHTSA complaint #11231626, filed 2019-07, 74,000 miles

“16 Honda Pilot touring awd smells of a very, very strong odor of exhaust/gasoline coming into the vehicle at idle. Also, vehicle smells like gasoline in my garage when I come out in the morning. Many similar complaints listed online. Remedy? It is so bad that I am getting headaches and can't drive the vehicle. Going to service on 02/21/2018.”
