“Honda Ridgeline, 2019, Honda sensing, was turning into a parking spot in front of a bldg, 1/2 way in, the sensing, sensed something? The big yellow light comes on the dash with the words brake , truck comes to a complete halt, I was slightly jerked forward, the truck was at a complete stop, 1/2 in 1/2 out or parking spot, diagonally, my hands on the wheel, I then just lightly touched the gas petal to move forward and park, but the truck resumed to full speed and ran me into the wall, about 15 feet in front of me. …”
NHTSA complaint #11328564, filed 2020-06, 16,000 miles“A sudden unintended acceleration resulted in a crash 1-08-2020 at 6:55 am. This occurred while pulling into a parking space. While breaking the vehicle head lights went out, engine RPM suddenly increased dramatically causing vehicle to strike light pole, which fell to the side of vehicle. This resulted in to be determined vehicle and property damage.”
NHTSA complaint #11298883, filed 2020-01, 14,500 miles“About 5-8% of the time when I engage the cruise control, it will advance an additional 3-4 mph all by it self. This almost caused an accident on one occasion. I had it into the dealers for repair and they said it was normal. I never had a car that did this before.”
NHTSA complaint #11442660, filed 2021-12“While driving with the cruise control set at 52mph, I was coming to a known left curve with a stop sign four way intersection that follows it (I drive this route at least 50% of the time whenever leaving my home). I hit the 'Cancel' button to stop the cruise control as I came to the curve, and there was no response. I hit the brakes and again there was no response. At that point I prepared for a wreck because I knew the curve was tight, followed by that intersection's stop sign, and I was almost upon the curve. …”
NHTSA complaint #11676371, filed 2025-07“Vehicle had had a rodent due to the wires long story short through the next day I got a light and things were not driving right and I got it to the dealer thank God. Cost me roughly 250 to 300 to have it repaired on my own dime because they said a rodent chewed The wire. I see and hear from other Honda owners that is a major problem with soy based wires. I do not consider an animal a natural act. It's a pest therefore you child-proof that you do not leave wires on the bottom open to areas that a animal can get to The chew. …”
