“The side-stand spring anchor failed and the side stand would not remain in its un-deployes (retracted) position. This could be disasterous when making a left turn. I managed to make it back to my dealer and they reluctantly replaced it immediatly, they wanted me to leave the bike there. The failure occured some 200 miles from home on a sunday and I had to mcgyver it with bungee cords and once I failed to hold the side stand down, it retracted, and the bike fell over!”
